No. It goes to the attorney.
I had an RFE on a I765 last week, and it went to the attorney. I expect to get the card directly however. Strangely, the approved travel documents go to the attorney as well.

YOu should go ahead and file your response to RFE. I had the same issue with my case when my attorney did not inform me of a RFE. After missing the deadline, I filed my repone through a different attorney explaining the problemand USCIS accepte my response.

My 485 application for EB2 was filed with USCIS on Sunday, July 1st 2007. My lawfirm is not sure if it will be accepted by USCIS since the filing was done in the weekend. Any comments? There could be lot of us in a similar situation. For those who are in the same boat, I would appreciate any updates you have received from your lawyer.

depends on state law, WA state does not consider H4 as a resident, just found out a month ago, when my wife finished all the tests and everything else and found she had to pay non resident tuition. So she decided not to go to school. CA considers H4 as a resident provided all other criteria are met.

2 - You can work for multiple employers using EAD. Typically EAD will not have any restrictions other than how long it is valid for.

I'm currently moving back to Northern Idaho and am trying to finally get my foot in the door as a photographer. Basically I've emailed some companies asking about the need for a part/full time photographer. Of course, they are all interested in sample shots (not a problem) and rates :confused:. I don't know what to say on the rates part. I've searched through the old threads, but didn't see any. Roughly, what is a normal rate? Keep in mind It's not a huge city (pop. 32,000,not including surrounding areas).

Hi - I am currently on an L1 blanket visa and it looks like my company will sell the unit I work for in the US. The parent company will sell the US division - I am currently in the process of applying for my GC - with the I40, and I485 both pending. I had my biometrics done today.

Want to gain some views on what my options are if the GC route does not pan out. I am on a UK passport, and would like to remain in the states. The GC is an employment based application - which is apparently quick, but I want to have a plan B. Is the next best option the H1B, and if so, will I be able to apply for this (if needs be) inside the US with another company if they are prepared to take me on?

Any advanced degree petitions received from here on out will count toward the regular cap of 65,000. The USCIS is still accepting petitions at this time, but it is advised that any H-1B petitions be filed as soon as possible as the USCIS could announce that the cap is closed at any time.

Hi,

My I-485 was filed in June'2007 in Nebraska service centre since my company is based in Michigan. I live in PA.

I am filing my EAD now but according to the latest instructions for EAD, the filing centre should be decided based on where you live. So for PA, the filing centre listed is Texas.

My question is should I file in Texas based on where I live or in Nebraska where my I-485 case was filed. The USCIS case tracker also says that my case is at Nebraska.

I have my Perm approved and my PD became current so i'm able to file I-485 but i have a couple of questions.

My fiancee was in US on J1 with 2 year HRR that is not up until Jan 15, 2008. She has been back to the US twice since she left (Jan 15, 2006) on B1/B2 visa. We plan to get married. When should we do it for her to be able to come to the US under my I-485 when her 2year HRR is up.

Please advise. I just sent an e-mail to my attorney but she's on vacation until Jun 19... I guess i'm too anxious to find out what my options are.

Hello,

I am currently working on H1b visa (stamped & valid till Feb 2011). My I-485 is pending (EB3, India). However, I have a need to stay on H1-B status.

If I find a new job/employer who files for an H1-B transfer:

1. Can I travel internationally immediately after getting the receipt notice? I will continue to work for my old employer till I get back from vacation.

2. In the same trip, I plan to get married and get my spouse on a H4 visa. Will getting new H4 visa be an issue in such a case?

3. Any issues at POE?
