1. Please throw your valuable thoughts on I-9 Employment autorization. My daughter is got a job and recuruiter asked for I-9 ( immigration document).
Do you need to print from INS office and fillup and send to respective college or INS.
2. My daughters are going to become 21 years in 2010. What will happend to I-485 approval for my two daughters. My Labor was filed one month grading.

It is a letter by your I-485 attorney to USCIS mentioning your pending I-485 application (receipt numbers, filed where, including everyone part of the application), about your company securing I-140 approval under EB2 category for you and requesting to interfile this I-140 with pending I-485 and approval based on case is being current now (mentioning priority date). Copy of the I-140 approval notice (EB2) should be attached.
Some attorneys do attach I-485 receipt copies too. Also, your attorney may ask you to sign on the G-28 form that he/she is representing your case.

Landed in August 2000.
Company A filed Eb2 labor in Aug 2003, went to backlog center, got an intent to deny letter, replied to that letter, eventually got denied.
Company B filed EB3 labr in Sep 2004, luckily filed I-485 in July 2007, got EAD.
Now working for Company C on EAD as an FTE using AC21 memo feature.

Even if many people write a few times to the same reporter it is ok. Make sure it is not a spam. This means,send a personalized letter and try to use different templates for cover letters.

Good thing you are doing and not talking, but lot of members are giving good suggestions, like contacting Professors who attended the Hearing this morning in the judiciary commitee meetings. Isnt that a new idea that was brought about only today...
We need more ideas and more action as we go along.

hi applied for 485/ ead and ap on Aug 1st to NSC. I received Ead cards and finger printing complete. But no RN's for any of the 3 applications and no AP yet :-(. Can't even find out AP file number since lawyer used money order to file.

My Loan is not Jumbo loan, its under 400K
I don't have 20% down. But I was speaking to the Loan officer, he was telling, it doesn't matter if you put more down or not, 3yr forward continuous visa is req. I never heard this earlier.
Jumbo loans are not getting approved for EAD status. Banks are rejecting Jumbo loans (> 417K) if your immigration status is EAD or AOS. I don't have any idea about normal loans (< 417K). But banks are giving Jumbo loans if the status is H-1B.
But noone is rejecting loan, if your down payment is 20% of the value of the home.

One thing that no one has pointed out and I wonder if people even care about it, but to me its a BIG issue.
All our hard earned $$$$ going into the Social Security and Medicare pool. Has anyone even thought about this ? If you look at your figure closely, it is the amount of money that an average american family saves over 1 year.
I personally feel that it is too big a contribution to let it to waste and for me getting a green card would make me eligible to get all the benefits that I deserve and have rightly earned.

As EB1 is Cureent, presume processing applications up date, EB3 is Unavailable, means no work to do for USCIS people as far as EB3 Adjudicate cases, leave EB4, EB5 categories aside which dont have many applications to process. Then the only category left for working with is EB2 and that also having ROW being current, the adjuticate applications left for processing with available visa numbers are EB2 India for time being. So this means for the next few months including this June 2008 there might be many approvals in
EB2 India category, as because theres no considerable work in EB category for USCIS people except EB2 India Adjudication. So presumably all the available visa numbers will be processed effectively in the EB2 category for the fical year.
It is simple. If the number of pending EB2 Apps before April 1st 2004 (India and China combined) is less than the number of spill over visa numbers, then there will be some forward movement in EB2 next month. If not, the dates will remain the same or may even retrogress.

Looks like my employer will fill up the 7001 form but how about the main letter. Does that needs to be signed and addressed by employer as well ?
Because the Link for 7001 doesn't talk about sending a separate cover letter.

Your employer does not need to sign the letter. You can sign the letter. On section 12 of the form 7001 mention " please see the attached letter" and then include the letter to be mailed to Ombudsman's office.

I have been wanting to post this for the last few days and was happy to read this thread.........can we do something like an Immigrant's Boycott Day or something where we should do a mass boycott all over the country.....we need to coordinate this across the entire country and do a gandhi style protest.....but we need atleast maybe 1000 people per city to do it.....I am not sure how difficult it is to get that many people.....but that seems to be the only way to create an Impact.......WE HAVE TO MAKE OUR EMPLOYERS FEEL THE IMPACT OF NOT HAVING US FOREIGN WORKERS.....THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THIS EXPLOITATION........its like when all the mexican farmers stopped working on the strawberry farms.....there were no strawberries in the market....I am in the Detroit, MI area.... we need to come up with a list of big cities where we can get 1000 people per city.

Ok I will sound negative....but I find this funny that we are not able to make up numbers in state chapters and talking about mass boycott. Guys to make these ideas work, we need to have a strong network to execute. Members on the ground ...have we achieved this , no ...Gandhi had millions of followers to acheive what he acheived , he didn't do it alone..... are u a Gandhi even for your state ?
