Hello,
I had E-Filed AP for me and my family on July 7th, 2008. Still it is showing as pending, On December 16th, 2008, I send a request to USCIS for expedite processing, December 26th I received a letter from USCIS that an officer is assigned to our case but after that there is no change in the status.
Can somebody pls suggest any steps that I should take to get my AP approved?

If you search the forums, you will find this has been the latest trend , I think for most folks who live and work in CA. Not sure about maintaining the receipt date, I had the same question, but I think the answer is not well known.

Hi,
Because of some reason or the other it happend to be so bad that my I140 documents were sent by courier on Tuesday - 17 July 2007.
can any one of you please suggest what best I can do to file my 485 during this current window July 17 to Aug 17 2007.

I will be filing my EAD renewal end of this month at NSC.

Here is my situation.
Status : H1B Visa
GC Status : I-140 Approved in EB3
Priority Date : May 2004
Years on H1B: 9 years
H1B Expire date: 01/2012
Please advice if i can change my employer now or it will be too risky. I was hoping to accept new positions if new employer is willing to sponsor a h1b and green card from begining. So i can retain my previous PD.

I am currently working for Company A on h1b, expiring on May 31st 2010. The GC application is denied based on on A2p issue with company A.
I had company B already filed for my labor in 2008 and approved in Jan 2009. They also filed concurrent 140 and 485 in March 2009 which is still pending. Company B wanted to hire me and now its time that I move to company B. I do have latest paystubs from Company A, currently valid i797 and experience letter.
can I migrate to company B by transfering my h1b based on approved labor with company b and pending GC application. What documents are required to transfer.

I received my 485 approval back in April 2008 & also received my physical card in next few months. I applied for my parents extension last month ( I-539) who are here for visit. It was filed in CA. My last H1B was approved in Oct 2007 from CA. Today to my surprise I see updates in extension case with no message change but update in my H1B approved case, with message saying that this case is reopened & the decision is being reviewed.
I think this is some kind of error. Has anyone experienced this ?

USCIS reports that 1000 H-1Bs were receipted over the past week with 34,500 now counted. 400 masters cap cases were added bringing the total to 13,000 in that category. That's about on pace with the last several weeks and the exhaustion target in that category remains February 2011. My methodology is simple. Is it true that they really approved 60000 cases in June. I have a couple of friends that filed I-485 in 2005 and there background is clear too but still have not been approved. I don't understand what is going inside the blackbox. I read in forum that only 40,000 application were ready for approval but then why didn't these people application was not approved all thou there file was complete.

i've been in the US on a f-1 visa since 2006. i am getting my masters at the moment. i am planning on getting married to my girlfriend who is a US citizen. i have been with her for the past 2 years and am dearly in love with her. we plan on getting married and i was wondering if i get married to her, can i apply for a green card right away or do i have to wait for a while before i can apply for a green card. she is also a student getting her bachelors.
my second question is that if i can apply for a green card then could i take a semester off and return to studying next semester or would that be a problem since i am on an F-1 visa.
i would appreciate it if i could get an answer soon so that i could take the semester off.

Could anyone throw some light on this...
i now finished school and I have a course completion letter from the school but I ma formally taking the walk in May.So i don't have an official degree yet.
I have to apply for a H1B visa Could I apply for a H1B on a masters quota with the course completion letter .I have heard yes but I needed confirmation with respect to this.
And If I don't get a H1B visa will my application slide to the Bachelors quota automatically(does this depend on the course completion letter that I have submitted?)??
My other doubt being since my company is not e verified what are my other options if I dont get a H1B visa???
Could you please throw light on all these matters?? I would be obliged if i can understand the answers to all these queries.

My Lawyer also suggested that we apply Porting PD after the second I 140 gets approved instead of doing it at the time of applying for second I 140.

Recently my 140 was filed and the checks were cashed through ACH. I paid for PP and see that the checks were cashed on March 8th. My attorney has not received my receipt, I was wondering if there was anyway I can get the receipt number for the case so I can track it ...
